Navigating the Timeline
The blue bar at the bottom of the editor represents your clip’s timeline. It always displays the clip’s duration and current speed settings. To navigate through the timeline, you can:- Drag the slider between the zoom-in and zoom-out magnifying glass icons.
- Move your cursor over the timeline and swipe on your trackpad.
- Or Scroll using your mouse scroll wheel.
Cut a Clip
Use the Scissors tool to cut parts of your clip and adjust its length.- Click the Scissors icon to activate the cut tool.
- Click on the timeline at the point where you want to make a cut.
Merge Segments
You can merge two adjacent segments into a single segment.- Select the segment you want to merge.
- Right-click and choose:
- Merge to Right, or
- Merge to Left.
Delete a segment

- Select the segment you want to delete.
- Right-click and choose Delete, or press the Delete key on your keyboard.
Adjust the Trim
You can adjust a clip’s length without making additional cuts. To trim the beginning or end of a recording:- Click and hold the edge of the clip on the timeline.
- Drag it left or right to adjust the clip length. 💡 Tip: Press Command (⌘) + Z to undo the trim if needed.
