Minimum requirements

To ensure optimal performance when using Smooth Capture, your Mac should meet the following requirements:

Operating System

  • macOS Sequoia 15.2 or later

Processor

One of the following:
  • Apple M1 or later (recommended)
  • Intel-based Mac from these models:
    • MacBook Pro (2018 or later)
    • MacBook Air (2020 or later)

Memory

  • 8 GB RAM minimum
Note: Performance may vary depending on your recording needs. For the best experience across all recording types, we recommend using a Mac with an Apple M1 processor or later.

Checking Your Mac Specifications

To verify whether your Mac meets the requirements:
  1. Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner of your screen.
  2. Select About This Mac.
  3. Review the following information:
    • macOS version
    • Processor type
    • Memory (RAM)
